You can take a photograph and have it put on a pillow, or a blanket for that matter.  You can use a picture of the mom while pregnant or you can wait until the baby is born and use the first family picture or pictures of the newborn. This is a very original gift.

Quilt PIllow:

You can also put together some quilt squares and then put them together as a pillow. This can be a nice gift for a whole family to work on.  Each family member could do a square and then they could all be put together. Don’t forget to write a special message on your square.

If you don’t know how to embroider you can easily learn or you can hire someone else to do the embroidering for you. You will need a few things to create your embroidered pillow. To begin you will need an embroidery hoop. They come in a variety of sizes, the smaller ones are much easier to manage, especially for beginners.

Secondly you will need to find a pattern. Depending on how you are going to personalize your baby pillow you can find patterns for letters, to add the baby’s name, as well as numbers for weight and birthdate.
